We need someone with a Microsoft tech-stack background who has experience as an Azure DevSecOps Consultant or a seasoned Unix/Linux Systems Administrator. We want someone with a development or coding background who has transitioned into Software Security / Cloud Security engineering. Strong Azure skills are essential; AWS experience is a plus but not required.

Rather than a standard IT Operations background, we need candidates with a Development background and solid software development knowledge, as you will mainly work with Developers and need to speak their language and build trust.

This role was successfully introduced into this company two years ago, and they now need someone to take the lead and further develop the function. You will work with cross-functional teams, so strong communication skills are necessary. There will be opportunities for personal and team growth as the company matures. This is a hands-on, lead role, ideal for someone with a consultancy background and practical skills.

A passion for modern security approaches is crucial, focusing on integrating security into daily workflows, automating, streamlining, and shifting security left without compromising quality or overall security.

Experience Required:

• Demonstrable experience as a Systems Administrator, Software Developer, or both
• Expertise in Cloud Security
• Passion for DevSecOps with knowledge of Terraform, Bicep, Sonar Cloud, Wiz, and other security tools like Trivy
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and practices
• Ability to perform Rapid Risk Assessments and Threat Modeling
• Technical skills such as Azure Security Monitoring, Application Insights, and SIEM
• Excellent communication skills to ensure stakeholder alignment and successful product delivery and support
