Software Quality Engineer

Hybrid / Peterborough

Our client is a fast-growing, tech-driven team reimagining software development in the motor industry. With a start-up mindset and industry expertise, this is your chance to join a new technology hub focused on innovation, collaboration, and quality.

As a Software Quality Engineer, you will work in an agile, cross-functional team to develop high-quality web applications. Your responsibilities include championing quality throughout the development lifecycle—from requirements analysis to test planning, automation, and supporting live releases. You will initially work with legacy systems and transition to modern stacks including C# .NET 9, React, Azure pipelines, CI/CD, TDD, and Test Automation.

What we’re looking for:

  • An experienced testing professional in agile environments, manual frameworks, and CI/CD processes.
  • Ability (or interest) to understand and read code; note that this role will collaborate with developers who write the tests.
  • Someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced setting and embraces DevOps principles.
  • A clear communicator capable of translating technical ideas across teams.

What’s on offer:

  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Hybrid working and flexible hours.
  • Personal development support, gym subsidy, and cycle to work scheme.
