Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead software development initiatives and coordinate patch/vulnerability management programs. Qualifications

• 5+ years as a project manager with software development experience.
• Experience in patch management or vulnerability remediation programs.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and change management.
• Familiarity with patch tools (SCCM/MECM, WSUS, Ansible, Tanium, Qualys, Rapid7).
• Proficient with Jira, Azure DevOps, or MS Project.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and deliver software development projects using Agile/Scrum or hybrid methods.
• Own project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources across the SDLC.
• Coordinate with developers, QA, DevOps, and product owners to remove blockers and maintain velocity.
• Manage sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning.
• Track and report project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and leadership.
• Own end-to-end patch management lifecycle: identification, testing, scheduling, deployment, and validation.
• Coordinate patch cycles across Windows/Linux servers, endpoints, and cloud workloads.
• Partner with Security/InfoSec to prioritize patches based on CVE severity and compliance.
• Maintain patch dashboards and SLAs; report on coverage and outstanding vulnerabilities.
• Manage change control and maintenance windows to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate emergency/out-of-band patching for critical vulnerabilities.
• Serve as liaison between engineering, security, IT operations, and business stakeholders.
• Facilitate CAB processes for feature releases and patch deployments.
• Escalate and drive resolution of risks affecting timelines.
