The Restrata Platform is a cloud software service (SaaS) that enables organisations to manage assets more effectively by connecting data inputs in a single system. The solution transforms the speed at which information is processed and made available in an intuitive user-friendly interface, allowing safety and security professionals to respond to events rapidly, appropriately, and effectively.

Restrata has the ability to consult, implement and manage a global platform to manage risk and crises for their clients, allowing end to end risk coverage from one solution.

The Restrata Platform (resilienceOS) connects their clients’ people, resources, and processes, streamlining information in a single cloud platform that digitally transforms their business into a future-ready operation where their people are safe, assets secure, and business stronger.

The Restrata Platform is a high load, distributed, real time system running in a complex, mixed cloud environments (AWS, Azure, on-prem). We are looking for a bright and experienced DevOps lead to join our team of engineers helping us build the next generation of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Engage in DevOps projects, including the design and deployment of new software systems and services.
2. Monitor performance of all systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
3. Help define DevOps strategy, architecture, and processes for Restrata and all of our products.
4. Lead the design of a scalable and modern infrastructure estate, supporting and communicating with our customers, engineer and test community at Restrata, ensuring its continued smooth running and resilience.
5. Help maximise efficiency of the engineering and test community by ensuring availability of necessary processes and environments.
6. Provide first line technical support for all infrastructure-related issues using technical knowledge.
7. Analyse business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs.
8. Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software.
9. Ensure transparency and clarity by providing technical explanations in plain language.
10. Support the service team to identify and add potential resolutions to the scripted FAQs.
11. Be responsible for the cataloging of all server hardware, software and credentials.
12. Manage all hardware and software infrastructure across Restrata’s estate.
13. Work with compliance stakeholders to ensure we are meeting and maintaining technical compliance standards, including ISO27001, ISO9001, Cyber Essentials Plus and DSP Toolkit.
14. Report on capacity levels and the state of infrastructure; escalate to the CTO when necessary.
15. Provide emergency cover as part of an agreed rota.
16. Responsible for the performance and output within your team, and for escalating issues or concerns to the COO where required.

Experience/Qualifications:

1. Good knowledge of creating & managing continuous delivery pipelines enabling continuous integration using test-driven development with high coverage in a multi-tenant, full-stack Production enterprise cloud configuration.
2. Python and shell programming skills with clear logical & practical use of innovative yet simple coding capability.
3. Particularly good knowledge of the core AWS services in relation to their use case, integration with hybrid networking models, authentication, authorisation & best practice.
4. Good knowledge of using Terraform.
5. Very good practical working knowledge of all network layers & security controls possible in AWS/hybrid models.
6. Skilled in container architecture, as we are not only shipping to AWS, but we have On-Prem and offline packaging and deployment architecture to work with as well.

Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science or related field preferable but not essential. (Desirable) AWS Cloud certification (sysops/solution architect) or equivalent.
