Job description

Job Title: Software Integration Engineer

Location: London, UK

Type: Permanent

Our client specializes in video streaming optimization and compression.

Responsibilities:

• Support maintenance and improvements in the core C++ codec integration layers, working with decoder and encoder teams.
• Integrate other compression solutions, such as VC6 and point cloud compression, into video editing and creation applications.
• Express interest in video and compression technology, along with mobile and desktop system-level development.

Technical Requirements:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in software development using C/C++ and other languages.
• Experience developing Android applications, preferably video-based, using ExoPlayer or AndroidX/Media, and experience with Android NDK.
• Experience with FFmpeg or its key components, either using or developing.
• Knowledge of video codecs, encoding, and streaming technology.
• Experience developing system-level software for Android OS.
