Salary Range: £60,000 - £70,000 per anumm

About the Role
In the role of Senior Flight Control Engineer you will work with the wider team to develop Callen-Lenz flight control and simulation software. You will be leading software project teams to design and document software whilst consistently communicating with stakeholders and other departments to ensure software meets requirements.

Qualifications
BSc or MSc degree in an Engineering related subject
Skills and competencies
Essential
· Experience in designing and documenting control systems.
· Deep understanding of aeronautics and control theory.
· Considerable experience of designing and documenting software.
· Experience using MATLAB & Simulink.
· Knowledge of a variety of programming languages and tools.
Desirable
· Understanding of real time and embedded software.
· Knowledge of safety related engineering practices.
· Leadership and mentoring of software engineers.
· Previous experience or interest in UAVs.
Personal Attributes
· Must be a British Citizen or have an existing right to work in the UK
· Ability to commit to occasional national and international travel
· Excellent communicator
· Excellent problem-solving ability
· Ability to work well in a team
· Enthusiasm for their work and self-motivated
· Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK
