Job summary

Experis - ManpowerGroup in Glasgow is seeking a mid-level Software/Firmware Engineer to join the development team. The role focuses on C# / .NET software for Windows-embedded systems and requires working with data from FPGA-based hardware sampling in the gigahertz range.

You will read from and write to SQL Server and MySQL databases, interpret embedded C code, and test end-to-end from spec to hardware deployment, while collaborating on cloud and web-facing components where projects overlap.

Software/Firmware Engineer

Glasgow | £40,000 - 5-days per week on site (flexible)

Our client designs and manufactures condition monitoring equipment for power utilities and transmission companies, helping operators detect problems in high-voltage infrastructure before they cause failures. Their systems monitor partial discharge, circuit breaker condition and substation health, giving early warning of issues that would otherwise go undetected until it's too late.

Essential
