Requirements

We are seeking an Engineering Team Lead to join our high-performing team, playing a key role in delivering world-class financial software for our partners and clients. This role involves managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring successful project delivery, and fostering team development. You will be responsible for maintaining delivery commitments and adapting to the evolving needs of the business. This position is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to engineering excellence.

Delivery
  • Manage team cohesion, culture, and output
  • Own delivery within your teams, collaborating with Product Owners to identify and plan high-value deliveries
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement
  • Champion Agile practices in process and spirit
  • Proactively escalate and resolve issues and risks
  • Communicate timelines and commitments to stakeholders
  • Enable engineers to focus on their core commitments
  • Delegate tasks and initiatives for growth, balance, or scaling
People
  • Take ownership of team members' well-being and career development
  • Lead one or more multidisciplinary engineering teams independently
  • Mentor and coach in culture, delivery, and behaviors
  • Identify training needs for future planning
  • Conduct regular 1-2-1s with personal objectives and goals
  • Manage performance and motivation proactively
Technical
  • Solid experience as a Software Engineer
  • Experience as a SCRUM Master
  • Background in one or more of the following: Java, Spring Boot, AWS
  • Ability to review and understand code
  • Support the Technical Lead with best practices such as SOLID, XP, Design Patterns, TDD
  • Understand the importance of managing technical debt
  • Challenge team estimates when necessary
  • Ensure software quality standards are met
Metrics & Reporting
  • Provide visibility on progress and issues to the Head of Product Engineering
  • Track metrics and KPIs for team performance
  • Adjust processes and timelines to ensure high-quality deliverables
