Job Details

Great opportunity for a Software Engineering Manager to join a fast-growing ecommerce company in Manchester that aims to become Europe’s leading online retailer in their industry.

You will join a large engineering department and be responsible for leading a cross-functional, product-based team. The team builds highly scalable, cloud-native, event-driven systems in a high-traffic, DevOps environment.

As a Software Engineering Manager, you’ll spend approximately 75% of your time on leadership and owning the technical strategy of your team, with the remaining 25% hands-on, focusing on architectural decisions and solving complex technical challenges.

The team is responsible for all aspects of their product, from ideation to development, testing, and deployment. You should be prepared to champion and mentor best practices such as TDD, Observability, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
