Job summary

Mexa Solutions in the United Kingdom is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a high performing team of 8–12 engineers as they build new SaaS products and inject AI into their platforms.

You’ll be line managing individuals, monitoring performance, and owning the standard of products for long-term productivity. A hands-on background in development complements leadership in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing a software development team in a fast-paced environment.

• Hands-on software development background with NestJS/NodeJS, Redis, TypeScript, SQL Server.

Software Engineering Manager

Predominantly remote with once a month near Portsmouth

You’ll be leading a team of 8 – 12 Staff/Senior Engineers within the business as they build out new products and inject AI into their platforms.

This is a hands off role, where you’ll be line managing individuals, monitoring performance and owning the standard of products being created, ensuring long-term performance and productivity.

A key part of this role will be fostering and promoting a collaborative, productive environment where your reports are motivated to share ideas and improve process.

Some skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

• Extensive experience of managing a development team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong enthusiasm for AI and other modern practices.
• Strong experience in managing and monitoring engineering performance and implementing and driving continuous improvement.
• A background in hands on Software Development and experience in the following tech stack: NestJS/NodeJS, Redis, TypeScript, SQL Server (other tech backgrounds will be considered).
• The ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the business.
