Job summary

Saab UK is offering a two-year Graduate Engineering programme starting September 2027, based at our Fareham campus. You will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge sub-sea robotics in Saab Seaeye and rotate through four six-month placements across core engineering disciplines.

You’ll be supported by managers, mentors and peers, with opportunities for conversion to a permanent role based on performance and business needs. This is a structured entry into Saab's engineering career track.

The Graduate Programme:

By joining the Saab UK's Graduate Engineering programme in September 2027, you’ll have the opportunity to have hands on practical experience with our unique products, while being supported by your managers, mentors and peers.

As a Software Graduate Engineer in this position, you will gain valuable experience across our Saab Seaeye Underwater Robotics business working on cutting edge sub-sea robotics technology.

This is a structured 2-year programme designed to provide a range of experience and understanding across our core engineering disciplines. You will complete four 6-month rotations at our main Campus in Fareham.

Graduates will rotate as a cohort and finish with a final placement and there will be discussions for conversion to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.

Across the programme you will:

• Build real experience on real systems, gain industry recognised skills while rotating through our core Engineering disciplines.
• Develop strong professional networks through your managers, graduate mentors and others across the business.
• Be involved in continuous learning activities in both technical and soft skill environments.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A bachelor’s (or higher) degree in an Engineering discipline with a minimum grade of 2:2.
• MS Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Effective teamwork and collaboration abilities.
