Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to help test development tools and contribute to automation within CI systems. You will work with cross-functional teams globally, triaging issues and creating reproducible tests to ensure quality across PlayStation tooling and platforms.

The role emphasizes manual and automated testing, mentoring peers, and applying strong communication to influence quality engineering approaches in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years developing tests for software applications.
• Experience of automating tests.
• A good understanding of software testing techniques.
• Understanding of C++.
• Experience in triaging bugs and creating reproducible tests.
• Experience with software build tools, issue tracking and source control systems.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools, LLMs, or agentic technologies to improve engineering productivity.

What you’ll be doing

• Mentoring peers, sharing best practices, and influencing quality engineering approaches.

What we are looking for

• 5+ years experience in developing tests for software applications.
• Experience of automating tests.
• A good understanding of software testing techniques.
• Understanding of C++.
• Experience in triaging bugs and creating reproducible tests.
• Experience with software build tools, issue tracking and source control systems.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools, LLMs, or agentic technologies to improve engineering productivity, with an understanding of how to review, validate, and apply generated output safely.

Nice to have

• Experience of Microsoft Windows applications.
• Experience of Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Experience of using Selenium/Appium.
• Experience using Powershell and Python.
• Experience of testing development tools.
• Experience of testing on Linux & Mac.
