MBDA is offering a Software Engineer Undergraduate Placement for 2027 in Stevenage. You will contribute to real-time software on weapon systems, primarily using C and C++ across Windows and Linux environments, with potential exposure to ADA, C#, or Python.

Starting September 2027 for one year, on-site 4-5 days per week; successful placements may lead to graduate opportunities. Salary £24,460; benefits include pension, bonus, holidays, flexi leave and healthcare options.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student working towards a software or engineering degree.
• Interest in real-time software and weapon system applications.
• Wamiliarity with C/C++ in Windows/Linux environments (ADA/C#/Python optional).

Responsibilities

• Work with multiple teams across development stages for embedded and frontend software.
• Contribute to real-time software products used in munitions and weapon Systems.
• Learn technical documentation and project deliverables processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand business context.
