Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in the United Kingdom (Scotland) seeks a Software Engineer III to join the CT AWM Finance platform. You will be a seasoned member of an agile team delivering trusted, secure, scalable technology products across multiple domains.

You will design solutions, develop secure production code, and contribute to architecture while leveraging AI-assisted tools and data-driven insights to improve systems and reporting.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Proficient Python coding ability.
• Hands-on data engineering experience with Databricks and AWS.
• Experience in system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, security, and resiliency in SDLC.
• Curiosity about Generative AI and AI/ML solutions.
• Experience using enterprise AI-assisted development tools and validating outputs.

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions with design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Produce secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms.
• Create architecture/design artifacts for complex apps, ensuring design constraints are met.
• Develop visualizations and reporting from large data sets for continuous improvement.
• Identify data patterns to drive improvements in coding hygiene and architecture.
• Contribute to engineering communities of practice and explore new tech.
• Leverage enterprise AI coding tools to improve code quality and speed with peer review.
