As a Software Engineer III C++ at JPMorgan Chase within the Electronic Market Making group, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for building critical technology solutions across multiple areas within various business functions to support the firm’s objectives.

Team Overview:

The Electronic Market Making (EMM) group is responsible for applications that execute and market make listed options and warrants globally. The team designs, implements, and supports trading platforms, collaborating closely with trading desks, business partners, and middle and back-office teams.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop creative software solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot technical issues, thinking beyond routine approaches
• Develop secure, high-quality production code, review and debug code written by others
• Identify opportunities to automate or eliminate recurring issues to improve operational stability
• Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote awareness and adoption of new technologies
• Act as a front office developer, working closely with trading desks
• Work on a range of deliverables, including frameworks, infrastructure, trading engines, and algorithms
• Participate in all stages of software development, from requirements gathering to testing

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and advanced experience
• Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced proficiency in C++ (C++20)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic approach
