Job summary

RX Global, part of RELX, is seeking a Software Engineer III in the United Kingdom to deliver production-quality software within a structured product team. You will implement secure, scalable components, follow SDLC guidance, and collaborate across engineering to improve reliability and performance.

The role emphasizes mentoring peers, contributing to architecture decisions, and advancing engineering quality with modern technologies.

Qualifications

• Experienced professional software engineer.
• Proficient in C# (.NET), JavaScript/TypeScript (React), and SQL (PostgreSQL).
• Experience in Agile cross-functional product development teams.
• Knowledge of SOLID, design patterns, API design, DDD, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience building modern web apps with React, Vite, REST, and GraphQL.
• Experience developing cloud-native apps on AWS; CI/CD with GitHub Actions; Secure SDLC; observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Produce clear technical documentation following RX architectural principles.
• Build software with performance, resilience, extensibility, and security foundations.
• Apply testing strategies to support deployment confidence.
• Contribute to code quality, tests, and development workflows.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in peer reviews.
• Support operational health: monitoring, diagnostics, incident response, reliability.
• Maintain runbooks and onboarding knowledge for owned components.
• Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers where appropriate.
