Job summary

RX Global in Greater London is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to design, build and operate secure, scalable software products powering our global digital platforms.

In this senior individual contributor role, you will take ownership of complex technical challenges, contribute to technical decision-making, and work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to deliver meaningful customer and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering large, complex, global production systems.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into scalable, incremental technical solutions.
• Experience in Agile cross-functional product development teams.
• Designing, operating and optimising AWS cloud-native applications (EC2, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS and Elastic Beanstalk).
• Interest in AI-assisted engineering practices using tools like GitHub Copilot, Amazon Bedrock or agentic AI workflows.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical topics to engineers, product teams and stakeholders.
• Proven ownership of production services including reliability, observability, and continuous improvement.
• Mentoring engineers and improving team engineering capability.

About the Role

Requirements

• Experience delivering large, complex, global or multi-tenant production systems.
• Strong ability to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable, incremental technical solutions.
• Experience working in Agile, cross-functional product development teams.
• Experience designing, operating and optimising cloud-native applications on AWS, including services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS and Elastic Beanstalk.
• Interest in AI-assisted engineering practices, including tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Bedrock or agentic AI workflows.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to engineers, product teams and business stakeholders.
