Job summary

Trident is seeking an experienced software developer to design, build, and maintain applications across multiple languages and frameworks. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products and contribute to all stages of the development lifecycle.

The role is permanent and full-time (35 hours per week) with 2 days in the Hull, UK office and 3 days working from home. You will be part of a dynamic, digitally focused company driving cutting-edge technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent on-job experience.
• 3+ years of experience in software development with proficiency in C++, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with MSSQL, CosmosDB, and Redis.
• Demonstrated ability to write maintainable code.
• Experience with front-end frameworks like Blazor, React, AngularJS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and deliver high-quality software products.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Participate in Agile development processes (Scrum/Kanban).
• Keep up to date with new trends and technologies and apply them where relevant.
• Develop and maintain data models and database schemas.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement improvements with teammates.
• Assist with code reviews, testing and debugging to ensure quality.
• Write technical documentation and support end-users.
• Provide out-of-hours assistance during production incidents.
