Job summary

ScreenCloud is hiring an experienced Software Engineer in Belfast to help us deliver end-to-end features across the stack. You will work in TypeScript on Node, deploying AWS services via Pulumi, and design scalable solutions that deliver simple experiences on complex data.

We value collaboration with Product, Design, and Support, and encourage experimenting with AI tools to speed up delivery while improving reliability and user experience.

Qualifications

• Experience building REST or GraphQL services and considering API impact
• Proficiency in typed languages like TypeScript or exposure to JavaScript/Ruby
• Cloud familiarity with AWS/Azure and IaC tools (Pulumi/Terraform)
• Ability to diagram solutions and discuss data flows across systems
• Focus on user experience and abstraction of complexity for customers
• Comfort in small teams and sharing learnings to improve
• Bonus: API frameworks (Express, NestJS) and modern web front-ends (React/Angular)
• Postgres/DynamoDB knowledge and end-to-end testing capabilities

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end features across UI, APIs, and data models
• Develop in TypeScript on Node; deploy AWS using Pulumi
• Design scalable event-driven solutions and evolve Postgres schemas
• Create internal tools and best practices for developers and customers
• Improve monitoring, reliability, and performance of the platform
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate shipping and quality
• Collaborate with designers, testers, and product owners for great UX
• Contribute to prototypes and MVPs to validate ideas with real customers
