Job summary

ScreenCloud in Belfast is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team in Belfast. We build cloud-based visual experiences that bring content to life on screens worldwide.

You’ll design interfaces that make complex data simple, working closely with Product Managers and Support to deliver user-centric features. We expect hands-on experience with REST/GraphQL services, TypeScript, and cloud deployment using Pulumi and AWS.

Qualifications

• Experience building REST or GraphQL services.
• Proficient in TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Familiar with AWS and Azure; IaC like Pulumi/Terraform.
• Ability to diagram a solution and explain data flows.
• User-centric mindset; reduce complexity for end users.
• Thrives in small teams and shares learnings.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver end-to-end product features across UI, APIs, and data models.
• Develop in TypeScript on Node; deploy AWS tech with Pulumi.
• Design scalable event-driven solutions and evolve Postgres schemas.
• Create tools and best practices for developers and customers.
• Improve platform reliability and observability through monitoring.
• Leverage AI tooling to accelerate shipping and quality.
• Collaborate with designers, testers and product owners for great UX.
• Prototype MVPs and translate into production features.
