Job summary

Daintta is a rapidly growing specialist team working with government clients across Cyber Security, National Security, Law Enforcement and Telecommunications. We seek a Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement software solutions for public sector clients, contributing to data-driven insights and secure systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in client engagements and pitches, and help shape our future.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• Professional experience as software engineer, preferably in a consultancy or industry setting.
• Experience with multiple programming languages, including Python, Java, C++, Rust, or Go.
• Experience with frameworks and tools such as pytest and OpenAPI.
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
• Knowledge of database systems and proficiency in database query languages/tools.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to interact with clients and team members.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies quickly in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker) and orchestration.
• Knowledge of software security principles and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand software engineering needs and objectives.
• Design, develop, test, and implement high-quality software solutions using industry best practices.
• Utilise a range of programming languages and technologies to architect robust, scalable systems.
• Gather project requirements, analyse feasibility, and provide technical recommendations.
• Develop secure, clean, well-documented code with testing, debugging, and code reviews.
• Stay updated with trends and share knowledge with the team.
• Support project delivery within defined timelines and budgets.
• Deliver high-quality work on time and take initiative.
• Assist client engagements, pitches, and presentations.
• Contribute to company strategy and growth.
