We seek a Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement software solutions for public sector projects, collaborating closely with clients and project teams to meet requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• Professional software engineer experience, preferably in consultancy or public sector.
• Experience with multiple programming languages including Python, Java, C++, Rust, or Go.
• Experience with frameworks/tools such as pytest and OpenAPI.
• Unix/Linux environment experience.
• Knowledge of databases and query languages/tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and iterative client-focused development.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand software engineering needs and objectives.
• Design, develop, test, and implement high-quality software solutions using industry best practices.
• Use various languages, frameworks, and technologies to architect robust and scalable systems.
• Gather project requirements, analyse feasibility, and provide technical recommendations.
• Develop secure, clean, efficient, well-documented code and ensure quality via testing and code reviews.
• Stay updated with trends and share knowledge with the team.
• Support project delivery within timelines and budget, including client engagements.
