Job summary

Centrica plc in Windsor is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Field Operations Platform team. You’ll design, build, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions that help forecast and schedule field engineers to meet customer demand.

Working in a cross-functional squad with Product, QA, Architecture, and Operations, you will own code quality, participate in reviews, and help improve security, performance, and reliability while growing your technical skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as a software engineer in a modern product/platform environment.
• Knowledge of source control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and code reviews.
• Understanding of security, data protection and compliance principles relevant to customer platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions across the Field Operations Platform.
• Deliver secure, well-tested code meeting functional/non-functional requirements and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, Architecture, and Operations to deliver outcomes.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions and technical refinement sessions.
• Support live services through incident investigation and continuous platform improvements.
