Job summary

Centrica is hiring a Software Engineer to join the Field Operations Platform team in Windsor. You will help design, build and deploy high-quality software that improves forecasting, scheduling and field service delivery using a modern Azure/.NET stack.

You will work in a cross-functional squad with product, QA, architecture and operations, writing secure code, participating in reviews, and contributing to incident response and platform improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience as a software engineer in a cross-functional agile delivery team.
• Proficient in modern software engineering practices: source control, CI/CD, automated tests, code reviews.
• Ability to write secure, maintainable, well-tested code with focus on performance, resilience and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain software across the Field Operations Platform.
• Deliver secure, maintainable code meeting requirements and standards.
• Collaborate with Product, QE, Architecture and Ops to deliver outcomes.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions and refinement sessions.
• Ensure live services reliability through incident investigation and improvements.
• Continuously improve skills and platform understanding with a growth mindset.
