Job summary

The Open University is seeking Software Engineers to join a range of Digital Services teams, delivering cloud-first, scalable digital services for students and staff. You will work across the full software development lifecycle in agile product teams, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices, using .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, React and cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle across design, development, testing and deployment.
• Strong ability to design scalable, efficient software solutions.
• Proficiency in functional and non-functional testing to ensure quality.
• Awareness of information security and quality assurance practices.

Responsibilities

• Participate in software development across the lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Assist with system design and documentation within architectural standards.
• Write, test and maintain high-quality code with accompanying tests.
• Support system integration and interoperability of components.
• Contribute to testing activities and quality assurance.
