Job summary

Safari AI in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer to own our cloud infrastructure, shaping scalable services and guiding system design across teams. You will drive security practices and contribute to fast-moving development cycles within a small, agile startup.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of software individual contributor experience.
• Proficiency in AWS or GCP/Azure.

• Strong understanding of SDLC and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead Safari AI cloud infrastructure as a primary contributor.
• Apply engineering best practices for system design, coding, documentation and communication.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify priorities and communicate them clearly.
• Contribute to engineering development process improvements.
• Set technical direction for the cloud infrastructure stack.

What you will be working on regardless the roles

• Primary contributor of Safari AI cloud infrastructure
• Practice engineering best practices for system design, coding, documentation and communication
• Work closely with engineering team members and operation team to identify new priorities and communicate it well
• Contribute to engineering development process improvements
• Set technical direction for cloud infrastructure stack

What you must have

• 4-6 years software individual contributor experiences
• proficiency in AWS or at least one of the following public cloud: GCP/Azure
• proven record on building a complex service from scratch to production
• experiences in delivering incremental features and maintaining reliabilities of a production service
• good understanding in best practices in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and security compliance
