Job summary

GEA Group in Belfast is seeking a Software Engineer to join the team and develop cutting-edge digital dairy-farming solutions. You will own features, contribute across the full development lifecycle, and closely collaborate with users—customers and technicians—to deliver reliable software that performs in real-world settings.

The role requires a degree in CS/Software Eng, strong English, and willingness to travel. A hybrid Belfast-based arrangement is in place with in-office attendance mandatory.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional training.
• Knowledge of databases and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
• A focus on quality, reproducibility, and delivering reliable solutions.
• A team-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• A willingness to occasionally travel internationally.
• Good English communication skills—both written and spoken.

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland
This position is based in Belfast and follows a hybrid working model. Regular attendance at our Belfast office is a mandatory requirement of the role. We are unable to consider fully remote working arrangements for this position.

As a Software Engineer, You Will

Develop & Enhance Features – Design and implement solutions that support dairy farmersand farm managers.

Take Ownership – Contribute to the full development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality andmaintainable code.

Work Closely with Users – Support customers and technicians when they need assistance.

Ensure Quality & Reliability – Deliver software that is tested, optimized, and ready for real-world use.

Collaborate in a Cross-Functional Team – Work alongside developers, testers, and productmanagers to create innovative solutions

Your profile and qualifications

What You Bring - We are looking for motivated individuals who are passionate about building impactful software.
You should have:

A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalentprofessional training.

Knowledge of databases and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
