Job summary

Matillion is seeking a Software Engineer to join a fast-moving, collaborative team in Manchester. You will write, test, and release new features, while fixing issues in Matillion products, alongside senior engineers to break down stories into executable tasks.

Essential skills include Java, OO design, SQL, JUnit testing, and cloud tooling; experience with Redshift/Snowflake/BigQuery, CI/CD, and agile methods is highly valued. The role supports flexible, hybrid working in the UK.

Qualifications

• Proficient Java programming and understanding of OO design.
• Experience with SQL and database query languages.
• Experience writing production-level tests using JUnit.
• Familiarity with data warehouse tech (Redshift/Snowflake/BigQuery).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools, Gradle and Jenkins in Linux environments.
• Experience with Agile methods (Scrum/Kanban) and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Hands-on development of features for Matillion products.
• Refine stories with senior engineers and implementable tasks.
• Develop and improve unit, API, and automation tests.
