Job summary

Wayve is seeking a Software Engineer to join our AI Libraries team. You will design, build, and maintain Python libraries and tools that empower ML engineers and researchers to train, evaluate, and scale models efficiently.

You’ll work closely with ML teams to create reusable abstractions, improve reliability and performance, and help mature the AI platform for autonomous driving solutions. This role emphasizes robust software engineering over ML modelling.

Qualifications

• Proven Python software development experience.
• Strong system design and scalable architecture skills.
• Experience building tools or libraries for internal or external users.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Python libraries and tools for ML engineers and researchers.
• Create robust abstractions for data loading, distributed training, inference, checkpointing, and model evaluation workflows.
• Support training at scale across large GPU clusters and cloud infrastructure.
