Job summary

Coder is seeking a Software Engineer to shape AI governance for developer tooling. You’ll join the AI Governance team building enterprise-grade components like AI Gateway and Agent Firewall that audit, control, and secure workflows across workspaces.

You’ll work across the stack—from Go backend to React frontend—shipping features, hardening security boundaries, and collaborating with enterprise customers and partners to deliver practical policy solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-stack experience in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in Go and building distributed systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities with a results focus.
• Self-motivated with a creative and analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship product features that raise the bar for remote development in self-hosted environments.
• Contribute to popular open source projects that integrate with VS Code, JetBrains, and other tools.
• Promote best practices across internal teams and external contributors.
• Collaborate with Product and Design and with partners like JetBrains on key integrations.
• Document design, implementation, and operations for knowledge sharing.
• Support Coder’s enterprise users alongside Customer Success.
• Work with cutting-edge AI tech to create seamless developer experiences.
