Job summary

ADLIB Recruitment | B Corp™ is seeking a Software Engineer to develop business-critical software and influence engineering standards. You’ll work in a fast-moving team, deliver AI-assisted software delivery, and help shape technical direction.

The role offers remote work with one day per week in Bristol, exposure to cloud infrastructure, APIs, and modern development practices, and genuine ownership over technical decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong PHP development experience using Symfony, Laravel or a comparable modern framework.
• Experience designing relational databases and SQL.
• Proven ability to turn business requirements into structured technical solutions.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and reviewing generated code effectively.
• Strong debugging, testing and code review capabilities.
• Experience working with APIs and third-party integrations.

Responsibilities

• Use AI-assisted development tools as part of the software delivery process.
• Provide clear context to AI coding agents, review generated output and ensure quality, security and performance.
• Contribute to AWS-based infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.
