Job summary

Proactive Appointments Limited is seeking a Software Engineer to join a growing technology team focused on solving business challenges through software, automation and AI. This role blends hands-on engineering with business engagement in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll own problems from discovery to delivery, work in small autonomous teams, and collaborate with senior stakeholders. Remote or hybrid working is available with occasional travel to UK offices for workshops and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or C++.
• Experience building and deploying production-grade software.
• Practical use of AI tools and technologies to improve productivity.
• Ability to identify opportunities for AI and automation within business processes.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Ability to work independently with ownership.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to UK offices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy scalable software, integrations and automation solutions.
• Build systems that improve efficiency, accuracy and user experience.
