Rohde & Schwarz GmbH & Co. in Fleet, UK, is seeking a software engineer to join one of our 3GPP technologies teams. You will contribute to 5G protocol conformance features, stack tests, and tools, while exploring 6G developments.

You will work with C++ and Python, resolve customer requests, collaborate with UK and Germany experts, and participate in innovation initiatives. The role offers hands-on AI/ML experiences and a path toward impacting standardisation efforts.

Formación

• Proficiency in C++ and Python for software development
• Experience with 3GPP protocols and mobile stack testing
• Familiarity with wireless communications and RF concepts
• Good debugging and problem solving skills
• Ability to work in cross‑functional teams across countries
• Wamiliarity with AI/ML concepts in software development

Responsabilidades

• Supporting the design and implementation of 3GPP 5G protocol conformance features and toolsets.
• Supporting the design and implementation of 3GPP stack features, tests, and tools.
• Involvement in design and development of tools and features leading towards 6G.
• Investigating and resolving customer requests related to 3GPP 5G protocol stack.
• Learning about the development of complex software applications using C++ and Python, including testing strategies.
• Collaborating with industry experts in the UK and Germany to gain knowledge of cutting-edge wireless and telecommunication technologies, RF engineering, and AI/ML.
• Working independently or collaboratively in a dynamic environment as part of a larger team, depending on your current tasks.
• Gaining hands‑on experience with AI/ML and its application in development and customer projects.
• Contributing to the 5G standardisation process through close collaboration with 3GPP experts.
• Participating in ongoing process improvement and innovation initiatives within the team.
