As our technology evolves, you will also contribute to other projects, including building React applications—particularly if we move to a headless e-commerce architecture. You will collaborate closely with teams across the business, delivering robust, scalable, and visually stunning solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and clarify website and platform requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain e-commerce-based websites, ensuring pixel-perfect front-end implementations, excellent user experience, and top-tier performance.
  • Build and maintain middleware using Java and Spring Boot to support integrations and backend processes.
  • Support and troubleshoot customer-facing websites and middleware, resolving issues efficiently.
  • Integrate internal and external APIs to extend website and platform functionality.
  • Contribute to React-based application development, both for headless e-commerce and other business projects.
  • Collaborate with teams in both the UK and US to deliver consistent technical solutions.
  • Stay current with best practices in web development, e-commerce platforms, Java/Spring Boot, React, and related technologies.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience building pixel-perfect front ends with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Solid experience with Java and Spring Boot for backend and middleware development.
  • Experience with React for building modern, scalable web applications.
  • Experience using version control systems (e.g., GitHub or similar).
  • Understanding of SEO principles and web performance optimisation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong eye for UX/UI design and website aesthetics.
  • Collaborative attitude with the ability to build rapport across teams.
  • Eagerness to learn and expand your technical skillset.
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and authentication methods.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and database management.
Desirable Skills (Not Essential)
  • Commercial experience developing and maintaining websites for e-commerce platforms (such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or similar).
  • Experience with headless e-commerce architectures and APIs (e.g., Shopify Hydrogen, Storefront API, Magento PWA Studio).
  • Familiarity with a range of CMS and e-commerce platforms.
  • Exposure to automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
