Job description

We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist software consultancy providing new bespoke solutions to solve our customers complex operational problems. As our business continues to grow, we are interested in speaking with a Software Engineer to join one of our live projects in our Law Enforcement business unit.

At IIG, there’s no such thing as a typical solution – we’re looking for talent that can keep up with our clients’ challenges, and set the pace for new ideation. We value intelligence and fast learners, flexibility and excitement about tackling every new opportunity. Our work is highly collaborative, so friendly relationship builders are vital to our teams.

The Role

Working on one of our Law Enforcement teams flagship projects, we are looking for a Software Engineer to join an established team who maintain and build new capabilities for our customer. In a hands‑on development role, you will join an Agile focussed team, gaining exposure to:

  • Implementing software solutions including design, development and testing
  • Using a wide range of technologies, specialising in the use of open‑source libraries and components.
  • Utilising tools such as GitLab to build continuous integration pipelines, which help monitor and ensure software quality and security
  • Deploying software systems to a mixture of environments, including public (AWS and Azure) and private cloud
  • Full Software Lifecycle involvement: project concept formalisation; requirements analysis and specification; architecture design; implementation and delivery; training and support and software lifecycle and maintenance

Due to nature of the sector this role, you will be required to undertake security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British passport holder and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.

The Fit

At IIG, there’s no such thing as a typical solution – we’re looking for talent that can keep up with our clients’ challenges, and set the pace for new ideation. We value intelligence and fast learners, flexibility and excitement about tackling every new opportunity. Our work is highly collaborative, so friendly relationship builders are vital to our teams.

At present we are interested in speaking to Software Engineers at an earlier stage of their career who have gained hands‑on experience using Java & Cloud technologies in a commercial environment.

Culture & Benefits

We take great pride in taking care of our talent, providing a highly dynamic, inclusive and team‑led environment where everyone can thrive. We value every member of our business, and strive to be a place you’re excited to work.

IIG has the culture and feel of a small business, paired with the benefits of our position in a much larger organisation. We offer a great L&D package including up to 5 days external training, a career coach and guilds to share innovation and learning. We also offer self‑directed career progression, that fosters opportunities for success for us and our business.

Equal Opportunities

CACI is proud to be an equal opportunities employer. Embracing the diversity of our people, we are on a journey to build a truly inclusive work environment where no one is treated less favourably due to ethnic origin, age, sex, gender identity, veteran status, religion or belief, sexual orientation, marital status, and disability or health condition, actively working to prevent discrimination.

As a Disability Confident employer, we will;

  • Provide reasonable adjustments in the recruitment process where requested (contact a member of the recruitment team on 020 7602 6000 to discuss individual requirements further).
  • Offer people with health conditions and disabilities, meeting the minimum criteria for a role, an interview.
  • Our people are unique and we encourage, and support them, to be confident in contributing to our inclusion journey.
