Job summary

Experis UK is seeking an experienced Back End Software Developer to join a high-performing engineering team in Newcastle city centre. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications, taking ownership of technical products and delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders from day one, applying Django or similar frameworks, and leveraging AWS or Azure for cloud deployment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of software development experience.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as pytest.
• Experience building web applications and backend services.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated build/test processes.
• Cloud deployment/configuration experience using AWS or Azure.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Django or similar web frameworks.
• Knowledge of SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience in consultancy or project-based delivery environments.
• Exposure to financial services or private capital environments.
• Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
