Software Engineer (backend focused)

Hybrid in Staffordshire

We’re looking for a talented Software Engineer to become part of a cross-functional team working on a brand-new, cloud-native application. If you thrive in fast-paced, delivery-focused environments and are passionate about clean, maintainable code, this could be the role for you.

This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of a major initiative, contributing from the ground up with a modern tech stack and the backing of a well-resourced, innovative company that values creativity, ownership, and collaboration.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Designing and developing new features in a cloud-hosted, high-traffic system.
Writing high-quality, efficient, and scalable code.
Championing best coding practices and continuous technical improvement.
Collaborating closely with stakeholders including product managers, testers, and other developers.
Contributing to technical designs and estimating development effort for new functionality.

We’d Love to Hear from You If You Have:

Solid commercial experience building server-side applications.
Strong proficiency in at least one backend language such as Go/Golang, or C#.
Experience working in Linux-based environments.
Exposure to cloud infrastructure.
A background in high-throughput, low-latency systems.
Familiarity with Agile development processes such as Scrum.
Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
