Join Lloyds Banking Group as a Software Engineer

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team at Lloyds Banking Group, with locations in Edinburgh or Leeds. This is a full-time, hybrid role requiring at least two days per week in the office.

About the Role

You will play a key role in developing innovative digital solutions that transform how our customers plan, protect, and save. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will design, build, test, and deploy software products, contributing to our value-driven mission.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality, well-tested, and robust code
• Design, build, and test backend microservices and RESTful APIs
• Work with containerized services like Docker and Kubernetes
• Utilize cloud technologies effectively
• Create tests and pipelines to ensure code quality
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle using agile methodologies

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of modern software development tools, cloud hosting, APIs, and CI/CD
• Understanding of programming principles, modular code, and software quality
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and mentor others

Desirable Skills

• Experience with React, NodeJS, .Net Core
• Testing frameworks like NUnit, Jest, React Testing Library
