Qualifications

The Team

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and motivated junior/mid level c# developer to join our dynamic team that is dedicated to building backend services to deliver high-quality experience for our customers.

You will be joining our core development team of six developers responsible for the many microservices within the Workiro platform and you will be working prominently in c#. We build backend services which support a number of web and mobile clients. These service

communicate with use of REST APIs, leverage event based architecture and webhooks.

Your attention to detail and commitment to crafting high-quality performant, robust solution will help enhance our overall product offering, by working on a variety of projects, from feature development, technical improvements, to bug fixes.

Things you will struggle without

  • Ideally at least 2 years of professional software development experience, with the majority in c#
  • Passion for the C# language and using the latest design patterns
  • An ability to understand business requirements and deliver functional software that will drive our success
  • An interest in test automation, your skills will help ensure the highest quality in our software deliveries
  • Understanding of microservices and event driven architectures to ensure scalable, robust solutions.
  • Solid understanding of programming fundamentals and a thirst to learn more
  • Demonstratable experience of working with RESTful APIs and OAuth 2.0 protocols in a commercial environment
  • Proficiency with source control tools such as Git with the ability to manage code versions and collaborate through platforms like GitHub or Bitbucket
  • A passion for problem solving, lateral thinking and sharing solutions
  • Strong ability to collaborate with others

Things that are good to have

  • Proficiency in understanding and solving complex business needs and an ability to work closely with internal consultants to tailor business process solutions
  • Proactive approach to learning and using cutting-edge testing methodologies
  • Experience working within an agile team environment and familiarity with agile methodologies and tools, like Jira
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic, iterative environments, contributing to continuous improvement and agile project success
  • Building software on the latest cloud platforms, ensuring best practices are met whilst harnessing the available tools and services
  • Entity Framework Core or another ORM framework to interreact with databases such as mySql
  • Experience in working with search platforms like ElasticSearch or OpenSearch
  • Use of AI to expediate writing high quality code and fixing issues
