Job summary

ZEISS is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Microscopy Research & Development team. You will develop software for world-leading electron microscopy systems, primarily using C# on Windows, and collaborate with engineers across disciplines.

You will troubleshoot, improve software quality, and contribute to innovative solutions in AI and automation for advanced imaging.

Qualifications

• Experience developing software using C# and Microsoft technologies.
• Strong understanding of Windows as a platform and how software interacts with operating systems and hardware.
• Exposure to low-level programming concepts, with knowledge of C or C++ being advantageous.
• A curious and proactive approach, with a genuine desire to learn and develop new skills.
• Interest in emerging technologies such as AI, automation and modern software development practices.

Working within the Microscopy Research & Development department at ZEISS, we are looking for a Software Engineer to join a collaborative team developing software for world-leading electron microscopy systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work on applications that directly support scientific research and technological innovation, whilst gaining exposure to a broad range of software and system-level engineering challenges.
