Sky is seeking a Release Engineer to join the Release Engineering team to deliver reliable software releases across Broadband and Entertainment devices. You will coordinate release planning, build management, readiness, deployment and risk, working with Development, QA, Product and Operations to support stable customer experiences.

The role requires hands-on experience with CI/CD, Linux scripting and collaboration across teams to ensure quality releases that meet customer expectations.

Competenze

• Significant hands-on experience in Release Engineering, Release Management, DevOps or Software Delivery.
• Proven experience managing large-scale releases across multiple products, platforms and stakeholder groups.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile delivery, release governance, deployment strategies and operational excellence.
• Practical CI/CD and automation experience, including Jenkins and Git-based workflows, plus Git, Gerrit or SVN.
• Strong Linux and scripting capability using Python, Bash or Shell, with software development experience in C or C++.
• Strong analytical, organisational, problem-solving and communication skills, including release metrics and risk management.

What you’ll bring

Essential Criteria –

How you’ll work

We’ve adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are 2 days in the office per week.

From developing and testing the latest products, to building cutting-edge software, our Sky Labs office in Brentwood is our home of innovation. Onsite you’ll find a range of facilities and spaces to work and connect, including a café offering hot meals and snacks.

We’re based right in the heart of Brentwood, just a 10-minute walk from the train station which has regular trains to London Liverpool Street. If cycling is more up your street, there’s bike racks and showers onsite. If driving, there’s onsite parking available and further car parks a short walk away.

Osterley –
