Job summary
The AA in Cardiff is hiring a software engineer to own features across the development lifecycle, working with Product, Technology and business colleagues to turn requirements into effective digital experiences. You’ll contribute to how we evolve our architecture and engineering practices, and use modern development tools and AI assisted technologies.

Qualifications
- Experience with GraphQL and modern APIs.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases; strong testing practices.
- Adaptable and collaborative; eager to learn new technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain high quality, scalable and well tested software across our digital products.
- Take ownership of features from analysis and design through to development, testing and delivery.
- Work closely with Product and business teams to understand requirements and deliver effective customer focused solutions.
- Help maintain the stability and performance of applications across our development and production environments.
- Contribute to engineering standards, testing practices, code quality and continuous improvement across the team.
- Explore and use approved development tools, including AI assisted technologies, responsibly to improve software quality, efficiency and ways of working.
