Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer (iOS) for the Ring & Blink teams to design, develop, and ship cutting-edge iOS apps in a large distributed environment.

You will work with cross-functional Amazonians, contribute to high-scale video streaming, and build native iOS applications using Swift, while embracing an agile workflow and a customer-obsessed culture.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related STEM field.
• Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field.
• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language (Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript).
• Experience with data structure implementation, basic algorithm development, and/or object‑oriented design principles.
• Expected graduation between August 2026 - November 2026, OR graduated within the last 24 months.

Key job responsibilities

About the team

The Ring Video app team owns the media streaming experiences across the Ring and Blink smart home applications. The team builds native iOS and Android applications using Swift and WebRTC to deliver real‑time video streaming to millions of customers worldwide.

Basic Qualifications

• Are enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related STEM fields
• Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field
• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript
• Experience with data structure implementation, basic algorithm development, and/or object‑oriented design principles
• Expected graduation between August 2026 - November 2026, OR graduated within the last 24 months

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience from previous technical internship(s) or demonstrated project experience
• Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Experience with video encoding and streaming media standards
• Experience building Android or iOS applications
• Understanding of mobile app architecture patterns (MVVM, clean architecture, or modular design)
• Experience developing native iOS applications using Swift
