About the Role:

We are recruiting a Social Worker for our Assessment Team covering Warwick on a full-time/permanent basis.

The Family Help team is based at Myton Park, Warwick.

The assessment role involves short-term intervention, including conducting 10-day assessments and progressing children's care plans to closure or to the first Child in Need Plan, Initial Child Protection Conference, or All About Me Review for a Child in Care. The Family Help role supports families beyond their assessment period, which may involve Child in Need plans, Child Protection plans, or short-term Targeted Early Support, with the aim of passing support back to the community Early Help Support Pathway.

Market Supplement Details:

Newly Qualified Social Worker / ASYE / Grade J: Up to £41,438 per annum, including a £3,500 pro-rated market supplement (subject to tax and NI deductions). Relocation allowance up to £8,000 may be available if criteria are met.

Experienced Social Worker - Grade K, L, and N: Up to £50,231 per annum, including a £3,500 pro-rated market supplement (subject to tax and NI deductions). Relocation allowance up to £8,000 may be available if criteria are met.

Key Requirements:

Working hours are 37 hours per week, with flexible and agile working options. Typical hours are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 5pm on Fridays.

  • Professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma, or CQSW).
  • In-depth experience in children's social work and handling complex cases.
  • Excellent analytical skills for informed decision-making.
  • Ability to produce concise, effective, and accurate reports.
  • Strong communication skills to build relationships and engage with children and families.
