Job summary

Milton Keynes City Council is recruiting a Social Worker to join the Older People’s Assessment Team. You will assess needs, plan interventions and coordinate care to help older adults stay safe, independent and connected to their communities.

This site-based role involves managing a demanding caseload, working within statutory duties under the Care Act 2014, and contributing to safeguarding and waiting times improvements. Interviews are scheduled for 13 October 2026.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assessments for older people and plan interventions within timescales.
• Review cases, coordinate support and safeguarding responses.
• Reduce waiting lists and improve timely access to advice and services.
