Job summary

Slough Children First is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join the Thrive 0-18 team. You will work on a hybrid basis with a minimum of three days per week in the office, providing care planning and safeguarding for children aged 0–18 and supporting them to achieve permanency where appropriate.

The post requires registration with Social Work England and a professional qualification, along with demonstrable experience in a busy social care service.

Qualifications

• Must be Social Work England registered with a professional social work qualification.
• Experience working in a busy children's social care service.
• Ability to build good relationships with children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide care planning and safeguarding for allocated children and young people aged 0–18.
• Develop positive relationships to help children and young people reach their potential.
• Contribute to age assessments and work with Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children as required.
