Job summary

Slough Children First is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead our Children in Care service (ages 0-18). You will supervise Social Workers and Senior Social Workers, guiding practice and your team’s professional development to maintain high standards of care.

The role collaborates with the Service Manager and Head of Service, involving partners and young people to drive service improvement. Hybrid model: three office days a week.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with leadership experience.
• Experience managing teams and staff development.
• Ability to collaborate with partners and stakeholders.
• Hybrid working model with three days in the office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Social Workers and Senior Social Workers, guiding practice and supporting development.
• Attend meetings with young people and external partners to ensure voices are heard and needs met.
• Drive service development by implementing new processes and updating guidance to improve outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to provide the best possible support for children and care leavers.
