Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Social Worker trained as a Moving Forward 2 Change (MF2C) practitioner to join the Justice Programme Service. The role is based at the Community Justice Hub and requires CQSW/DipSW or BA (Hons) in Social Work and post-qualifying experience.

You will be registered or eligible for SSSC registration and must become PVG scheme member before starting. A temporary post for 3 months offers development opportunities and flexible working options.

Qualifications

  • CQSW/DipSW or BA (Hons) in Social Work or equivalent is required.
  • Post qualifying experience desirable.
  • Must be registered or eligible for registration with SSSC.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Moving Forward 2 Change programme within the Justice Programme Service.
  • Facilitate MF2C activities from the Community Justice Hub location.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safe, person-centred interventions and positive outcomes.

We currently have an opportunity for a social worker who is trained as a Moving Forward 2 Change (MF2C) practitioner to join our Justice Programme Service and support with the facilitation of the Moving Forward 2 Change programme. Based at the Community Justice Hub within centralised services, we are looking for someone who has a sound value base, can demonstrate a commitment to providing safe, effective and person-centred intervention and is passionate about achieving positive outcomes for North Lanarkshire's most vulnerable people.

To apply you must hold a CQSW/DipSW, BA (Hons) in Social Work or equivalent and post qualifying experience. We are looking for people who possess excellent communication and writing skills, have a sound value base and can demonstrate they have the skills and abilities to gain trust and confidence to ensure we deliver the best possible outcomes. You will be registered or eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and you will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.

Work pattern:

35 hours per week -

Monday to Thursday - 08:45 to 16:45 - Friday - 08:45 to 16:15.

This is temporary post for initially 3 months.
