Caritas Recruitment Limited is seeking a Support & Protection Social Worker for the Isle of Wight, based at County Hall, Newport. The role pays £42.00 per hour Umbrella/Limited, plus up to £250 per week accommodation allowance and one return car ferry fare.

Ideal candidates will have statutory safeguarding expertise and a proven track record in children's services, delivering statutory social work and robust risk assessments on the island.

Formación

• Qualified Social Worker with Children’s Services experience.
• Experience in statutory children’s social care.
• Strong safeguarding and risk assessment experience.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to safeguarding planning and risk assessments.

Caritas Recruitment is currently looking for 2 experienced Children's Social Workers to join the Support & Protection Service on the Isle of Wight.

This is a great opportunity for experienced Social Workers looking for their next locum assignment, with an enhanced package available to support candidates working on the island.

The package

• £42.00 per hour Umbrella/Limited
• Up to £250 per week accommodation allowance, subject to production of a valid receipt/tenancy
• 1 return car ferry fare using the Council's booking portal
• Based at County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight

The role

As a Support & Protection Social Worker, you will be working within Children's Services, supporting children, young people and families who require statutory social work intervention.

We're particularly keen to hear from experienced Children's Social Workers with a strong background in statutory safeguarding and support and protection work.

Essential experience

• Qualified Social Worker with relevant Children's Services experience
• Experience working within statutory children's social care
• Strong safeguarding and risk assessment experience
• Ability to confidently manage complex children and family cases
• Excellent communication, assessment and report-writing skills
