Social Worker - Support & Family Safeguarding Team

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the Support & Family Safeguarding Team in Slough.

The salary for this full-time Social Worker role is up to £48,776 per annum.

Responsibilities:
  1. Undertake social work on allocated cases, producing outcome-based plans considering the needs and risks to children and their families.
  2. Develop effective relationships with children, young people, and their families to improve the impact of work, ensuring written plans are agreed upon and reflect their views.
  3. Participate in routine auditing activities to maintain high standards of social work practice and record keeping, in line with the Quality Assurance Framework.
  4. Complete financial assessments and determine contributions and levels of needs/services where appropriate.
  5. Maintain effective working relationships with partner agencies such as voluntary, community, schools, police, health, and other statutory agencies.
  6. Keep accurate, up-to-date records of all work undertaken, including comprehensive use of the Integrated Children's System.
  7. Manage casework transfer effectively with clear transfer plans.
  8. Provide cover for team members and undertake additional projects or duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
  • A social work qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered or eligible for registration.
